Ahead of the Challenge Cup finals, Marie represented Parliament at the Rugby League memorial event at the Cenotaph.
Joined by The Speaker of the house of Commons, Marie laid a wreath to remember their sacrifice on behalf of the rugby league community.
Marie said: “May we always remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
“Many rugby league players fought and died in both world wars and we must always honour them.”
