“I am appalled by the recent antisemitic attack in Golders Green and the arson attack on an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Milton Keynes. These acts of hatred only seek to do one thing, divide us.
There is no place in our community for violence or abuse driven by prejudice. Whether it is antisemitism, homophobia, or any form of hatred. No one should feel unsafe because of what they believe, or whom they love.
At times like this, it is vital that we remember that, no matter our differences, we have far more in common than that which divides us. What has always made our country strong is our ability to stand together, despite those differences, as one people.
My thoughts my prayers are with all those affected by these horrific attacks, their families, and the communities threatened by these events. We must continue to work towards a society where everyone can live free from discrimination.”
