On 24th June 2025, Marie over 100 other Labour MPs, calling for a consultation with disabled people on PIP before any changes are made.
“I cosigned and am supporting an amendment alongside 107 other Labour MPs, calling for a consultation to be in place before any changes are made to our PIP system
Disabled people have not been consulted. During a cost-of-living crisis, we cannot afford to rush through legislation that risks reducing support for disabled people and putting them into poverty.
If we’re going to change our PIP system, we need to make sure that it is fair and considered.”
