On 12th May, Marie hosted a consultation for the parents of children with SEND.
Marie stated: “It was incredibly valuable today to hold a roundtable discussion with parents of children with SEND, hearing first-hand about their experiences and the challenges they have faced.
I will be feeding these views back directly to the Education Minister.”
2 days later, Marie wrote to the Education Minister to share the views and concerns raised by parents regarding the proposed SEND reforms.
Marie also contacted every school in the constituency to make sure teachers and staff with SEND experience are aware that there is still time to contribute to the Government’s public SEND consultation.
