Pride in St Helens board chair wanted

Residents are being invited to play a leading role in shaping the future of their community, with applications now open for a Chair of the Pride in St Helens Neighbourhood Board as part of the Pride in Place programme.

Following confirmation of £20 million in Government funding for Town Centre East and Fingerpost, the new Neighbourhood Board will bring together residents, businesses, local organisations and partners to guide investment and oversee projects that will deliver lasting improvements over the next decade.

The Chair will provide leadership for the Board, helping to develop a long-term vision for the area and ensuring local people remain at the heart of decision-making. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence how funding is invested to address local challenges, build on community strengths and create positive change for future generations.

Applications are encouraged from people with strong local connections who are passionate about the area and can bring people together, build consensus and champion the interests of the wider community. Experience in leadership, regeneration, community development or partnership working would be particularly valuable.

This recruitment marks another important milestone for Pride in St Helens, as preparations continue to ensure communities have a strong voice in shaping the investment plans that will help create thriving neighbourhoods, stronger communities and greater opportunities for local residents.

Applications close on Sunday 21 June.
