After years of being overlooked and underfunded, several neighbourhoods in our borough have been chosen for significant Government investment — and this time, it’s residents who will decide how it’s spent.
Through the Pride in Place Programme, £20 million of long-term funding will be invested across the following areas:
– Town Centre East
– Fingerpost
– Sutton North West
– Merton Bank
– Pocket Nook
– Peasley Cross
– Parr Stocks
This is funding that can make a real, practical difference. It could support local jobs and opportunities, improve community facilities and youth services, enhance public spaces, make our streets safer, cleaner and more welcoming, and strengthen the local organisations that bring people together.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing details on how you can have your say and shape the improvements you want to see.
This is a genuine opportunity to build a better, more prideful St Helens — together.
